The definition of marriage

Someone asked me when the definition of marriage changed. And this is a person that reads history.

I liked my answer. That happens sometimes.

Don't know the history of the definition of marriage but I know it's changed quite a bit over time. Like now you're limited to only one wife. At a time. Unless you're a Mormon. And it has nothing to do with land. Or cattle. Or family allegiances. Anymore. And there's that pesky age requirement in this country that wasn't there before. And a wife isn't considered property nor can she be stoned. Legally at least. In this country. And divorce doesn't carry quite the same stigma that it once did. Marriage gets redefined according to the culture and the times. It's whatever the majority agrees it is and it's pretty apparent what the new definition is.
